Spider-Man Homecoming ~ Bring it Home for the Holidays

By Laurie Ritrosky, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Westfield-Southwick December 13, 2017

Looking to fill their stockings with Avenger action? Look no further than the new Spider-Man Homecoming movie now on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Peter Parker, a young 15-year-old in Queens, just wants to fit in, with his classmates in high school and with the Avengers. This is a great movie that combines good guys, bad guys, action and teenage angst. The story of Spider-Man is nothing new, but this movie has an added feature when Iron Man steps in to try to steer Peter in the right direction. Peter, being a teenager, is rebellious but only because he wants to rid the world of crime.

Your kids will love all the teenage themes like parties, the homecoming dance, a school trip and more.

Being a product of the eighties, I really loved Michael Keaton and Marisa Tomei in this movie. And who doesn't love Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man? It was nice to see him make several appearances. The young Tom Holland did a wonderful job as Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Of course, in true Stan Lee fashion, there is something unexpected in the end and be sure to watch after the credits. Every Avenger movie has a small scene after the credits that is a lead up to the next movie, and this one is no different.

So will Peter defeat the bad guys? Will his classmates find out he is Spider-Man? Will the girl he longs for notice him? Will Spider-Man become an Avenger? Find out in the new Spider-Man Homecoming. Rated PG-13. Fun for the whole family! The Blu-Ray comes with over an hour of bonus features including a gag reel, deleted scenes and more. Available now at Walmart in Westfield just in time for the holidays.

I received a complimentary copy of this movie for review, but all opinions are my own.
