At the end of November I brought my 2 kids to the Nutcracker Tea Party they had at All Star's Dance center in Westfield. They had so much fun. It was a 3 hour event. They learned part of the Nutcracker Dance, ate pizza, decorated a big gingerbread cookie they got to take home, and even got a gift bag at the end. They got to do the class with "Clara and the Sugarplum fairy". There was an indoor snowball fight that I watched the kids have so much fun doing.
Originally I had just asked my daughter if she wanted to go to it but my son was in the room and said he wanted to go too. I let him know there may not be many, if any, boys (seeing that this was a ballet) but I would find out if he could go if he really wanted to. He said he did. When I asked if it was ok if he went there was no hesitation at all with the owner saying she would love to have him there. I loved this about it and he went and had a great time. There even ended up being another boy there too!
Another plus was the fact that this was on black Friday and I was able to go to a couple stores that I would not have wanted to take my kids to because they were so busy and I got a few really good deals. I was able to get a few things for my kids for the holidays which I could not have gotten if I had them with me too. Plus every once in a while moms need breaks too and it was nice to be able to just grab a coffee and enjoy it for a few minutes.
All in all this was such a great event. She has another one coming up on Dec 30th. 11 am-2 pm. It's "A very happy Frozen New Year". It's going to be superheroes and princesses. There's going to be swimming, lunch, an apple juice toast at noon, Elsa and Anna, and a big dance party. Spiderman and Batman will also be there. The cost is $25 a child which is extremely reasonable for all the kids get to do. You really couldn't even get a babysitter for that price and you can go get some shopping done after having the kids at home all vacation week eating all the food in the house, lol. Or just go get a coffee and take a break and let the kids have a good afternoon!
