One of my kid's favorite places to go is McCray's farm in South Hadley. It's pretty close and doesn't break the bank. They love to feed the animals there. They have ducks, goats, a couple baby cows, chickens, peacocks, a llama, and geese. There's quarter machines out there with food or if you go into the store they have cones filled with animal food for 2 for $1. The cones are really good if you want to feed the animals but don't really want them to lick your hands.

After we feed the animals we usually go play on the little playground there. It has a pile of tires filled with sand for the kids to climb on. Then it's on to the inside of the store where they have amazing ice cream. They also have food and baked goods too which always look good but we always end up just going with the ice cream. There's also quarter vending machines in there so I try to remember to grab a few quarters to bring in with me.
In the fall they have a hay ride to a pumpkin patch during the day which is a lot of fun too.

Overall, it's a fun place to go for a couple hours during the day especially if you have an animal loving kid like I do!
